Based on the latest (IR/VIS) satellite imagery, which includes a six-hour loop indicates few to broken low to mid-level clouds over the group. Latest METAR and Synoptic observations correlate with the current satellite imagery.

 

Models
The High mentioned above will remain over Tasmania while intensifying from Wednesday till Sunday, moving to the Tasman Sea on Monday, tracking past New Zealand on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. AS such, causing tight pressure gradients late on Thursday which may remain over the group until Monday or Tuesday next week. The weak low west of New Zealand will dissipate by Thursday.

 

Outlook for the next 7 days
Cloudy with chances of showers over TAFEA province, elsewhere mostly fine with chances of afternoon brief showers.Partly cloudy to mostly fine weather on Thursday. Brief showers possible over TAFEA and parts of Central islands on Friday, elsewhere mostly fine. Partly cloudy with possible brief early morning and evening showers over the group on Saturday. Few showers over TAFEA on Sunday while partly cloudy elsewhere. Few showers over the group on Monday which may last until Wednesday next week. A Marine Strong Wind Warning is current over Northern Waters but may recover the whole of Vanuatu waters on Thursday.Light, moderate to fresh SE winds over Northern islands while ESE elsewhere.Minimum temperatures for tonight range from 18°C down south to 24°C up north. Maximum temperatures for tomorrow range from 26°C down south to 29°C up north.
